Huntington Beach events run the gamut from world-class athletic competitions like the US Open of Surfing® and the AVP (Association of Volleyball Professionals®) Pro Beach Volleyball Tournament to free summer concerts at Pier Plaza, the annual Surf Film Festival, weekly Farmers’ Markets, swap meets at Golden West College and monthly Bolsa Chica wetlands tours. Other Huntington Beach events that present interesting visual opportunities include the National Professional Paintball League World Series, Concours d’Elegance Car Show, Offshore Grand Prix, Civil War Days and the Pacific Shoreline Marathon. US Open of Surfing

For nearly 50 years, the United States Surfing Championship has been held in Huntington Beach. Today, the event is known as the US Open of Surfing® and it draws about 350,000 spectators each year. Included with the annual event are extreme sports competitions that bring volleyball, surfing, skateboarding, motocross and BMX to one location – Huntington Beach.

4th of July Parade

Considered to be the largest Independence Day parade west of the Mississippi, the Huntington Beach 4th of July Parade features more than 300 entries including bands, floats, celebrities, local dignitaries, equestrians and community groups. Later in the evening, a spectacular fireworks display is staged off of the historic Huntington Beach Pier.

Paint Ball Tournament

Paint Ball Tournament Not only is Huntington Beach home to the world’s best surfers, but also to the National Professional Paintball League itself. Each year the best of the best gather for the National Professional Paintball League’s Super 7 Paintball World Series in Huntington Beach. The event is staged on the beach and draws nearly 50,000 visitors.
